Excellent for mountain biking, walking and exploring. We are situated on the Route 68, Reivers and Pennine Cycle routes. Kayaking or fishing on the North Tyne. Fishing permits available in Bellingham village store. Horse riding and trekking. Good range of bridle paths locally. Pennine way footpath. Rock climbing. Callerhues Crag, Fell Sandstone VS to E5 routes. Close to Bellingham.

Bellingham is about 10 minutes walk Four pubs ! Excellent restaurant in the Riverdale Hotel and free swim for diners. Our neighbouring farm incorporates Kielder Organic Meats (Farm shop stocked with high quality local produce). Tourist Information Centre and Bellingham Heritage Centre (Historic and cultural exhibitions). 18 hole Golf club. River Tyne and Hareshaw Linn walks.

Hexham (town) Hexham is the local market town, about 25 minutes drive away: Larger shops including supermarkets and specialist shops eg. bicycle shop,
Swimming Pool, Cinema, Historic Abbey. Good range of pubs and restaurants. Tourist Information Centre. Railway Station, (Newcastle to Carlisle). Bus Station. Regular buses to Bellingham and beyond. Vets, A&E hospital.
